A shipbuilding company in Vietnam suffered a surge in costs due to a high loss rate of steel plate cutting (up to 8%). After in-depth analysis, Shengqiang's technical team proposed a combination of "high-strength ship plate + laser cutting OEM": DH36 steel was used to replace traditional materials, reducing the thickness by 12% but maintaining the same strength; at the same time, a repurchase service for cutting waste was provided, which reduced the customer's material cost by 23%. The first phase of cooperation saved 1.2 million US dollars, and the second phase of 5,000-ton orders has been launched.
